Sloan Petroleum, the operator, had previously attempted to remove intermittent plugs of salt and sand from the non-producing wellbore of a gas well completed through 2 7/8" tubing at 2800 feet. Unsuccessful clean out efforts were made by conventional methods, first by fresh water circulation and then by wireline impacting tools.
