Mitchell Fryer

Petroleum Engineering is a family affair for Mitchell Fryer. He followed in his father’s footsteps and was joined by his younger brother, earning his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in 2013. During his studies, he worked and interned at Williams E&P, WPX Energy, and Unit Petroleum in Acquisitions & Divestitures, Drilling, and Completions, respectively. Since graduating, he has been a Production Operations Engineer for Okie Crude Company, BlueStone Natural Resources, Manti Tarka Permian, Forge Energy I&II, and Lime Rock Resources. The first decade of Mitch’s career focused on workover engineering and well remediation, artificial lift design, installation, conversions, and optimization. In addition, Mitch has safely and effectively plugged and abandoned numerous wells – both offshore and onshore - in multiple basins throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, North Dakota, Montana, and California. Mitch is considered a subject matter expert in gas lift and ESP design, execution, and optimization, as well as workover engineering, casing and tubular repair, and facilities engineering related to artificial lift operations. Currently, Mitch is a Sr. Well Engineer at Beacon West Energy LLC, an engineering consulting firm specializing in contract offshore operations, gas storage well work and remediation, and onshore and offshore P&A focused within California’s rapidly changing oil and gas industry.  Outside of work, Mitch spends his time raising his four sons and enjoying the great outdoors with his family.
