Esteban Alejandro Oliva was born in Argentina, raised in Venezuela and has split his time between Alberta, Canada and Texas since 2007. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in Venezuela. He entered the oil and gas sector in 1996 as a young college graduate, working in a pump shop and learning by being ‘where the rubber hits the road.’ He has worked for operators and service companies alike to hone his skills as an artificial lift professional while also crafting hobby skills in tennis, jazz guitar and Texas-style smoked ribs. Today, Esteban serves as technical support and liaison with Product Engineering and R&D for Tenaris Rods in North America.
