Martin Lozano began his career with SM Energy in 2018, gaining experience in reservoir and production engineering, evaluating new development strategies, and discovering new technology to improve assets in the Permian. Since then, he has advanced technology in the rod lift and ESP space by making improvements in gas separation and rod design as well as implementing permanent magnet motor systems. Martin is passionate about artificial lift and oilfield technology and currently serves as a Production Engineer for Diamondback Energy. His current role is in special project origination and evaluating new technologies and methods to produce energy. He previously served as the SPE Production Study Group Chair in the Permian Basin. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Martin loves to travel, spend time with family and discover new cultures and food!
