The Smart Anchor study will demonstrate the value of running memory gauges on rod pump gas anchors for collection of pressure and temperature data under a sucker rod pump. Various data models will be utilized to predict pump intake pressures trained by measured surface parameters and data from the smart anchors. Physical pump intake pressure calculations will also be conducted to compare with downhole measurements as well as comparing fluid level shots to understand how these can be incorporated into our models. Finally, the data will showcase variability in fluid level measurements under varying well conditions and help determine where these are of higher value to make better decisions on wellbore intervention with rod pumped applications.
